Your feedback is important to us. If you have a question about your property assessment, or assessments in your area, please contact your area office as noted on your assessment notice.  Staff at BC Assessment's area offices can be reached several ways: local mail and phone service, toll-free phone service, fax and via e-mail. If you have any suggestions about this web site, or have a more general question, please e-mail us at info@bcassessment.ca.

Property owners can apply for an independent review of their assessment by a Property Assessment Review Panel by January 31 each year. The panels are appointed and administered by the Ministry of Small Business and Revenue. Property owners can file for a review using BC Assessment's online form which is made available in January.

e-valueBC

This service allows property owners to compare their assessment and any applicable sales to other homes in their area. It is available on our web site from January to mid-March and in paper form at assessment offices, most libraries, municipal halls and government agents' offices.

Property owners can receive their Assessment Notices electronically via epost™ a free web-based service that delivers mail online for Canada Post.

Publications

This web site features many corporate publications such as factsheets, news releases, answer book, annual reports and the current service plan. These documents provide plain language information about BC Assessment and the property assessment process.

First Nations

BC Assessment is contracted to provide services for many First Nations that have the authority to levy taxes.

Languages

We serve our customers in their language of choice whenever possible. Some BC Assessment staff speak and write several languages and some public information materials have been translated for our client’s convenience.
